A GRANDMOTHERS GIFT

In late 2020, my amazing husband surprised me with a new sewing machine. At first, I started out making table runners and potholders for my dining room table. It was fun and I realized how much I really enjoyed sewing. Next, I made aprons for our daughter and both our granddaughters for Christmas. After I was done, I thought it would be cute to get them hair scrunchies that matched their aprons. When I went to the store to get them all I could find was cheap scrunchies that were obviously mass-produced with cheap material. I stood there and realized that I could do this, I could make custom scrunchies that match their aprons.

I went home that night and made a couple patterns and sewed 3 of the most beautiful scrunchies out of quality material with strong bands. My husband looked at them and said, you should do this as a business, these are amazing. I told him that if I did it, I didn’t want to make junk, I wanted to use quality materials and quality elastics. I do not want to make scrunchies that stretch out, pull hair, or leave marks in in your hair. And that’s just what I did.

I am a mom, a grandma, and a preschool teacher and I know first-hand what quality hair accessories are. There have been so many times that one of my little munchkins came to school with stretched out hair ties and scrunchies or mismatched hair bows. Several of the moms have made comments to me about how much they love our products. They tell me how they last; they love how they are not just boring single color scrunchies and bows but actually have “personality”.
